Eat the Reich: WWII Vampire Commandos Drink Deep at Game Night
After our time at MomoCon this year, a few things were clear: gaming in all its forms is still awesome, I need to sleep for about 48 hours, and the RPG scene couldn’t get enough of the little $30 RPG title Eat the Reich, as every day, we needed more copies!
A lightweight yet lavishly illustrated 72-page book with hot pink neon page edges and a beautiful coffin cover caught the eye as con-goers browsed our booth.
But the game isn’t just a feast for the eyes; there is some real meat between the covers to dig into!
Eat the Reich, published by Rowan, Rook, and Decard, puts players in control of a task force of Vampire Commandos with one mission: drain Adolf Hitler of his blood as you enjoy Wolfenstein-esque mayhem on the path to him — quenching your thirst as you operate.
Backed by the writing chops of Grant Howitt of Honey Heist, Spire, and Heart fame and illustrated by the hands of Will Kirkby, known for his work on Critical Role, Image, Darkhorse, and Boom, the quality one can expect is equal to the level of carnage expected during a session of play.
Campaigns are designed to be over-the-top violent, 1-3 sessions long, full of blood magic, carnage, character flashbacks, and leave a lot of dead Nazis in your wake.
The core book comes with:
1.) A quick-to-learn D6 dice pool system– the Havoc Engine – that encourages creative violence
2.) Preginerated characters
3.) Gruesome augmented Übermenschen (drink their blood to level up)
4.) Non-accurate maps of Paris with lots of location details and ideas for fun things to destroy
Copies of the core book are now available for direct shipping or for pickup at our Duluth location!
