Heroscape is Returning After 14 Years!

Renegade Gaming Studios has brought back to production a new edition of the beloved, classic miniatures game, Heroscape! Heroscape: Age of Annihilation sticks to Heroscape’s original rules and design, but brings new characters and scenarios to excite newcomers and players of yesteryear. It’s also compatible with both previous and upcoming Heroscape content.

                                              So what is Heroscape?

Heroscape is a rules light and hex tile movement based miniature war game. With different play modes and entry points, this streamlined game is perfect for people who want to try out miniature wargaming without stressing over major cost and time commitment presented by other games. Heroscape is  launching with two different entry point options to satisfy those looking to try the system and those lookin’ to go all-in!

First, is the bigger box option; the Heroscape: Age of Annihilation Master Set contains a generous amount of content including 20 new highly detailed, fully assembled premium miniatures. Players will be able to draft their armies and play through scenarios that take place during the Battle of All Time. The standard version of this sets is $125.00 which is a great deal when it comes to a massive game like Heroscape. Many other miniature wargames have starting boxes that cost more than this with less options for the long term of playability of the game.

The second and more cost effective option for trying out the game is Heroscape: Battle for the Wellspring Battle Box comes in at just $45.00.  The Battle Box allows 2 players to take their first steps into the exciting world of the expandable Heroscape miniatures game! Inside this Battle Box are 6 fully assembled, premium miniatures which include three dastardly pirates, a noble wizard, and two familiars. Also included are 4 new scenarios and a new terrain tile – Wellspring water. The miniatures found in this box are different from the ones found in the Master Set so if you try this set and want to add more to your collection you will not be adding doubles you don’t need.

As a special note there are two different options for each of these sets as well. There is the standard set and the premium painted editions. The premium painted editions are extremely limited and available currently on our website for preorder until March 31st 2024. After that time, these sets will be harder to find. A Beloved Board Game Classic is Back!

Long-standing board game fans will be hootin’ and hollerin’ like a prospector with a full pan today with the revival and arrival of a classic title, Gold West, which has been saved and reprinted for the first time in years by the folks over at Trick or Treat Studios.

Known for its Halloween and horror-themed figures, costumes, and other delightfully dreadful items, the studio has been putting out board games of its own, such as Nightmare Productions or Richard Garfield’s Creature Feature. Both of which we proudly carry!

While Gold West is a bit of a black sheep (or maybe a white sheep?) compared to the horror themes of the usual titles under its belt, the studio saved this title and has brought it back from the dead (there’s that theming!) for all of us to enjoy once more!

Trick or Treat Studio’s website states thusly about Gold West “This is the first game of the classics line from Trick or Treat Studios.”… more 9th lives for some lost black cats on the way? Exciting!

But back to the present! Here’s what one needs to know about the beloved title itself from the studio’s website:
