A Beloved Board Game Classic is Back!

Long-standing board game fans will be hootin’ and hollerin’ like a prospector with a full pan today with the revival and arrival of a classic title, Gold West, which has been saved and reprinted for the first time in years by the folks over at Trick or Treat Studios.

Known for its Halloween and horror-themed figures, costumes, and other delightfully dreadful items, the studio has been putting out board games of its own, such as Nightmare Productions or Richard Garfield’s Creature Feature. Both of which we proudly carry!

While Gold West is a bit of a black sheep (or maybe a white sheep?) compared to the horror themes of the usual titles under its belt, the studio saved this title and has brought it back from the dead (there’s that theming!) for all of us to enjoy once more!

Trick or Treat Studio’s website states thusly about Gold West “This is the first game of the classics line from Trick or Treat Studios.”… more 9th lives for some lost black cats on the way? Exciting!

But back to the present! Here’s what one needs to know about the beloved title itself from the studio’s website:

“In the wild west, you need to have a good head on your shoulders! Set up camps and gather resources and metals. Stake claims and gain special abilities in the boom town
or ship your goods for points. All this is driven by a simple mancala mechanism – the
longer you’re willing to put off gaining things, the more points you get!”
